Motor Claims Handler (FNOL & Accidental Damage)

Full‑Time 35 Hours per Week Monday‑Friday
From £23,625 (DOE)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and well‑established insurance organisation looking to appoint an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join their busy claims department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with FNOL and/or Accidental Damage motor claims experience who is looking for stability, progression and the chance to work within a supportive and professional environment.
The RoleYou will manage motor claims from first notification through to settlement, ensuring cases are handled efficiently, accurately and in line with regulatory standards.
This role involves managing your own caseload, investigating liability, maintaining strong communication with all parties, and delivering consistently high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Handling FNOL and Accidental Damage motor claims
- Managing a portfolio of claims from initial report to resolution
- Investigating liability and assessing policy cover
- Communicating with policyholders, brokers and third parties
- Detecting and escalating potential fraud or underwriting concerns
- Ensuring claims are processed in line with company and FCA guidelines
- Maintaining accurate records and diary management
- Meeting service standards and performance targets
- Previous Motor Claims experience (FNOL or Accidental Damage)
- Minimum 2 years motor claims experience for higher salary consideration
- Strong understanding of claims processes and liability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and good organisational ability
- Confident using multiple systems
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
CII qualifications (or working towards) are desirable full support is available.
