Insurance Business Analyst – InsurTech & MGA

AR Experts Ltd is a UK technology company developing Biz Align , a cloud-based enterprise SaaS platform comprising Fleet Management, Telematics, Workforce Management, HR, and AI-powered business solutions.

As part of our next phase of growth, we are launching Biz Align Insure-Tech — a telematics-driven insurance platform that leverages connected vehicle data, driver behaviour analytics, crash detection, First Notice of Loss (FNOL), AI, and fleet intelligence to enable data-driven insurance products.

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Business Analyst to bridge the gap between insurance operations and technology, helping shape our Insur Tech platform and supporting our journey towards becoming a Managing General Agent (MGA).

You will work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams to design insurance products, define underwriting workflows, configure insurance platforms, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This is a unique opportunity to build an innovative Insur Tech platform from the ground up.

• Gather and document business requirements for insurance products and workflows.
• Work with insurers, MGAs, and technology partners to define insurance offerings.
• Analyse underwriting processes, policy administration, claims, and pricing models.
• Support the implementation and configuration of insurance platforms such as INSTANDA or similar Policy Administration Systems.
• Define rating factors and business rules using telematics and connected vehicle data.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate telematics APIs into insurance workflows.
• Develop user stories, process maps, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in workshops with insurers, brokers, and regulatory partners.
• Support testing, validation, and implementation of insurance products.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

• Experience as an Insurance Business Analyst, Insurance Consultant, or Product Analyst.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations and policy administration.
• Knowledge of underwriting, pricing, rating engines, and claims processes.
• Experience working with MGAs, insurers, or insurance technology providers.
• Familiarity with Policy Administration Systems such as INSTANDA, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Acturis, or similar platforms.
• Experience producing business requirements and functional documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with telematics or usage-based insurance (UBI).
• Knowledge of fleet or commercial motor insurance.
• Understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and Consumer Duty.
• Experience working within an Insur Tech environment.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and product delivery.
