A specialist insurance broker, operating within the Healthcare and Hospitality sectors, is seeking an experienced Senior Account Handler to join their growing team.
With ambitious plans in the next five years, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking business. The majority of leads are generated through trusted referral channels, resulting in an impressive 85%+ conversion rate from quote to sale.
This is a full-time role based out of their brand new central Manchester office location, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities of the Senior Account Handler:- -Managing new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments with accuracy and attention to detail.
- -Analysing risks, premiums, and policy wording to ensure clients receive appropriate cover.
- Negotiating competitive terms with insurers and providing proactive solutions when standard cover does not apply.
- -Building and maintaining long-term client relationships, delivering clear and professional communication.
- -Supporting clients through claims processes and ensuring their interests are fully protected.
- -Working collaboratively with colleagues, brokers, and underwriters to achieve results.
- -Maintaining compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
- -Strong technical knowledge of insurance, ideally Cert CII qualified or working towards this.
- -Commercial awareness, with healthcare or hospitality sector experience advantageous but certainly not essential
- -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-first approach.
- -Proven organisational skills, able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively.
- -Problem-solving ability with confidence to negotiate and find tailored solutions.
- -IT proficiency, including Acturis and MS Office (Excel/Word).
- -Professional, ethical, and resilient, with a team-oriented mindset.
- -Salary £35,000 - £45,000 plus benefits.
- -Hybrid working (3 days in their Spinningfields office, 2 days from home).
