Matters can range from dealing with property damage, such as fire damage and escapes of water to complex coverage. The team is small and very supportive and offers fantastic career progression together with genuine flexibility in terms of a hybrid working pattern which works around you.

A growing team taking on more complex work

The main reason for this opportunity is because the team has started to receive instructions involving far more complex work.

The team is looking to expand nationally with a number of roles becoming available in Birmingham and Manchester.

More about the work

This leading insurance litigation team handles complex commercial litigation on behalf of a number of tier 1 insurers and corporates. If successful, you will be joining a dynamic team advising on complex work. As a snapshot, you will:

• Lead on high‑value property damage claims (fire, flood, chemical, construction, environmental)
• Manage subrogated recoveries, coverage disputes and liability claims
• Collaborate with colleagues across Manchester, Birmingham and London
• Contribute to client development and strategic growth initiatives

Strong background in litigation

The Partners are keen to meet litigators with a strong technical foundation and commercial approach:

• 1+ years’ PQE (Solicitor or Legal Executive)
• Background in property damage, insurance litigation or subrogated recoveries
• Commercial litigation experience also welcomed
• Excellent drafting, analysis and client‑handling skills
• Proactive, collaborative and ambitious to progress

The Manchester team is relatively small and very supportive. In particular, they have been able to progress colleagues far more quickly and offer a fantastic pathway to more senior roles within the firm.
