Placing the best legal talent in law firms in Defendant Injury & InsuranceA leading, award-winning law firm with offices nationwide is seeking a talented Solicitor / Associate to join its highly regarded Professional Liability team. The firm is recognised in the Legal 500 for its excellence in civil, commercial, and insurance litigation, acting for a diverse client base that includes insurers, corporates, professional service providers, and not-for-profit organisations.
The Professional Liability practice advises on:
- Professional indemnity claims
- Public liability matters
- Property damage disputes
- Management liability (D&O)
- Policy coverage issues
Caseloads range from smaller, strategically important instructions to multi-million-pound disputes. Work often involves defending claims against professionals such as construction specialists, accountants, technology consultants, care providers, and social welfare organisations.
You’ll enjoy a varied and stimulating workload, working closely with experienced partners while managing your own files. There will also be opportunities to get involved in subrogated recovery work and contribute to the team’s ongoing growth.
The Candidate
- Experience in professional indemnity, property damage liability, or related insurance litigation (defendant-side preferred)
- A solid understanding of policy coverage issues
- Proven ability to run your own caseload under supervision
- Experience handling disputes of varying value and complexity
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client care skills
- A proactive approach to business development and relationship management
- The ability to supervise and mentor junior colleagues
