The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a talented Employment Solicitor to join our top-tier Employment team in Manchester. You will work closely with a Partners on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with early exposure to high-quality work and direct client contact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising employers and senior individuals on a full range of employment law matters
  • Managing contentious matters including Employment Tribunal claims and litigation
  • Drafting and advising on contracts of employment, service agreements, policies and procedures
  • Advising on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and restructuring processes
  • Supporting on complex advisory work such as TUPE, corporate transactions and reorganisations
  • Negotiating settlement agreements
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Contributing to business development and profile-raising activities

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Ideally 2-6 years' PQE in employment law (flexible depending on experience)
  • Strong technical knowledge of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Experience gained at a reputable regional, national or City firm
  • Excellent drafting, communication and client-handling skills
  • Commercially aware with a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Ambitious, motivated and keen to progress within a leading practice
