Real Estate Energy Associate | 2+ PQE | International Law Firm | Manchester
Leading international law firm is looking to recruit a Real Estate Solicitor with experience or a strong interest in energy and renewable projects to join its Regeneration, Development and Infrastructure team in Manchester. This role offers hybrid working, combining office and remote flexibility, alongside a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
The Role- Advise on a broad range of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen and heat networks.
- Support landowners and EV charge point operators on matters relating to site acquisition, leasing, planning, regulatory requirements and grid connections.
- Draft and negotiate real estate documentation across commercial, mixed-use, regeneration and ESG‑driven investment schemes.
- Provide guidance on land due diligence, title and access issues, riparian rights, and specialist property matters such as foreshore rights and hydroponic agriculture.
- Work closely with a diverse client base, including energy developers, infrastructure investors, real estate funds, charge point operators and local authorities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across real estate, construction, energy, regulatory and finance teams to deliver seamless, multi‑disciplinary advice.
- Have 2+ years' PQE (qualified in England & Wales and/or Scotland).
- Possess solid experience in commercial real estate, ideally with exposure to or a keen interest in the energy and renewables sector.
- Demonstrate strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Be confident managing complex transactions and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Enjoy working as part of cross‑practice teams to deliver integrated legal solutions.
