Job Title: Legal Assistant

Location: Manchester

Job Type: Part-time

Prosperity Law LLP is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing and vibrant Manchester Office as a Legal Assistant. Working within the Clinical Negligence team to support the fee earners in the team with a variety of Clinical Negligence related work.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Assisting fee-earners in the management of their caseload of Clinical Negligence matters by undertaking various tasks as supervised by the fee-earners.
  • Drafting documents and correspondence under supervision
  • Dealing with new enquiries
  • Updating and meeting with clients
  • Undertaking research to support fee earners
  • Obtaining medical records
  • Liaising with the courts
  • Liaising with a wide variety of 3rd parties in the course of progressing matters
  • Supporting fee earners with various administrative tasks and file/case management
  • Keeping up-to-date with key changes in the relevant law and procedure and ensuring that clients are informed of any changes that may affect them
Requirements
  • Strong technical IT skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in an assistant role in a Clinical Negligence team within a law firm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Commercially aware with a strong focus on client service.
