A leading patent practice with a strong national presence is looking to recruit a Part-Qualified Chemistry Patent Attorney to join its growing team in Manchester. The firm is known for its structured and hands-on training approach, with close partner involvement and access to a broad range of chemical and life sciences matters. You will work with a diverse client base, including innovative start-ups, established SMEs, and multinational organisations.

The role will involve:

Drafting and prosecuting UK, EP and international patent applications

Working closely with senior attorneys on complex chemical and life sciences inventions

Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision

Advising clients on patentability, infringement and freedom-to-operate issues

Supporting trainees and junior colleagues where appropriate

About you:

Part-qualified UK and/or European Patent Attorney

Strong academic background in Chemistry or a closely related discipline

Currently working in private practice or an in-house IP team

Motivated, commercially aware, and keen to progress towards qualification
