Please note:
during the initial 6 week training period, hours will be fixed on the morning shift. A growing co pack and warehouse operation in Bardon is seeking an Operations and Transport Planner to join their busy site team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration, planning and Excel skills who is looking to develop a long term career within operations, transport and production planning.
Working closely with the Customer Account Manager, warehouse teams and transport providers, you will play a key role in coordinating inbound and outbound stock movements while ensuring smooth day to day operational planning across the site.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate goods in and goods out activities in line with production and customer schedules Plan and arrange daily collections and deliveries with third party transport providers Monitor transport schedules and ensure deliveries are completed on time Allocate stock to loads and support load planning activities Ensure warehouse and vehicle capacity levels are effectively managed Maintain accurate planning and stock information across internal systems Support pallet control, ordering and reporting processes Work closely with warehouse, planning and stock teams to minimise operational disruption Identify and resolve planning or operational issues proactively
What We Are Looking For
Experience with in a warehouse, logistics, transport or supply chain environment Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel Good organisational and problem solving skills Experience in stock administration or inventory related tasks would be beneficial Ability to manage changing priorities within a fast paced environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams Someone looking to develop long term within planning, inventory control and production planning What's on Offer £30,000 to £32,000 salary after probation Structured training and long term development opportunities Monday to Friday working pattern (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00) Opportunity to develop into broader production and operational planning responsibilities Stable and growing business environment This role would suit candidates from logistics, warehouse administration, transport planning, inventory control or supply chain coordination backgrounds looking for the next step in their career.
