Salary: £25,760 – £31,157 per annum (pro rata)

An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly changing and expanding Scan 4 Safety team at our NHS Trust. The role is a progressive Band 3 with a clear pathway to Band 4 upon meeting defined performance and development criteria.
Responsibilities- Implement and maintain service standards across key departments and wards; undertake day‑to‑day ordering activity on behalf of the customer following agreed protocols.
- Ensure customer requirements are met cost‑effectively, maintaining continuity of supplies.
- Conduct quarterly reviews with ward/department leads, using system information to illustrate spending patterns, agree all product and stock levels, monitor usage and place timely orders.
- Regularly review stock levels and product ranges with the customer to reflect activity and agree updates.
- Assist in value‑for‑money studies to contribute to savings targets and regularly report spend/saving activity.
- Receive, check and store all deliveries; rotate items, store in correct location, keep store areas tidy.
- Process and monitor discrepancies, ensuring returns and credits are processed appropriately.
- Good standard of basic education or equivalent experience.
- Studying for a CIPS, CILT, Supply Chain & Logistics or other related qualification.
- Working knowledge of recognised Electronic Materials Management systems.
- Understanding of Scan 4 Safety and GS1 initiatives.
- Customer‑service related departmental or similar environment experience.
- Previous experience in a local NHS Supplies Department.
- Demonstrable understanding of medical stock management.
- Understanding of simple purchasing activity.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Customer‑care communication and interpersonal skills.
- Literate, numerate, accurate.
- Good analytical skills.
- Organisational skills.
- Flexible approach.
- NHS or public‑sector experience.
