Stock Control Operative (Part-Time) Manchester 30 Hours per Week Monday-Friday Flexible Working Hours

We're looking for a proactive Stock Control Operative to join our busy Service Centre in Manchester. If you're highly organised, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy keeping stock, systems and processes running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a key role within our operations team, ensuring our inventory is accurately managed and readily available to support engineers and customers. You'll play an important part in maintaining our stock management system and ensuring high-value electronic components and drive units are correctly stored, tracked and accounted for.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing and maintaining accurate stock records using our online inventory system
  • Receiving, checking and booking in incoming goods (GRN)
  • Organising and storing electronic components, PCBs and drive units safely and efficiently
  • Recording stock locations with a high level of accuracy
  • Ensuring new stock is processed and added to the system daily
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop and storage area
  • Supporting engineers by ensuring components are easy to locate and readily available
  • Identifying opportunities to improve stock control and storage processes
  • Following health and safety procedures and using manual handling equipment responsibly

We're looking for someone who has

  • Previous stock control, stores or warehouse experience
  • Experience handling electronic components, PCBs or drive units would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Confidence using online systems and Google-based applications
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • A professional, reliable and flexible attitude
