Description

The Direct Procurement Manager will take ownership of allocated productions and be responsible for/to:

Manage the procurement of direct materials to meet business requirements.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to optimise costs and value and strengthen long term growth.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships.
Ensure procurement processes align with company policies and standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material needs and manage inventory levels, including for new products.
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to avoid disruptions.
Prepare and analyse procurement reports to support decision-making.
Stay updated on market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Profile

The successful Direct Procurement Manager should have:

Proven experience in procurement, particularly within the FMCG industry or similar.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
Ability to analyse data and prepare actionable insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
A proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Able to start a new role on relatively short notice.

Job Offer

Salary ranging from £45,000 to £47,000 plus benefits, dependent on the level of experience.
12 month plus fixed-term contract position based in Manchester.
