Metro has experienced fantastic growth in its European Road freight division and aspires to be an industry leader in European Overland services. Were offering an exciting opportunity to join a strong, dynamic team that’s shaping the future of cross-border logistics.

As part of our European Road freight Customer Services team, youll manage daily operations for key clients, ensuring their goods are delivered quickly, cost-effectively, and with exceptional service. If youre passionate about logistics, customer relationships, and making a real impact - this is the role for you.

Youll be the main point of contact for some of our most valued clients, managing their shipments and building lasting relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

• Support our Senior Account Manager team with day-to-day operations.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues throughout the UK and Europe, to help facilitate smooth and frictionless transport of orders to, from and within the continent.
  • Enter shipments on our in-house system, youll generate orders and instructions for our suppliers.
  • Manage multiple tasks at the same time, youll enjoy a busy and fast-paced atmosphere.
• Deliver exceptional service with prompt responses and proactive communication.
• Understand individual customer requirements and tailor your approach.
• Input accurate information into internal systems and follow procedures

Were looking for someone whos enthusiastic, customer-focused, and ready to grow. Youll need:

• Ambition to develop your career in logistics.
• Excellent customer service skills and experience in a customer-facing role.
• Previous experience in European Road freight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent planning and attention to detail.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Ideally educated to A-Level standard;
  Degree level is a plus.
