About the role
Please note:
This role is for 30 hours per week. HC‑One is looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building work, do‑it‑yourself projects, cleaning and housekeeping. You will also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and ideally some IT skills. You should be considerate and kind when you communicate with residents or co‑workers.
As a Maintenance Operative you will ensure residents live in a place that is proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You will carry out audits and keep records up to date. Whether replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper in the dining room, you will do so with kindness above all else.
SafeguardingSafeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in associated areas. You should seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
We’ll provide full training, so it’s a great opportunity to learn new skills.
