Role Overview
We are looking for a Building Services Assistant to assist in the day-to-day presentation and maintenance at our luxury development, Axis in Manchester. As the go-to person for the building services, you will ensure that all services for the development are carried out to a high standard, delivered on time, and accurately.

- Complete full building inspections/walks to identify cleaning or maintenance issues and action them to the highest standards.
- Maintain fire control systems, alarms, and smoke ventilation.
- Manage access control systems, locks, and security measures for the building, car park, and other property aspects.
- Oversee all property lighting and heating systems.
- Supervise lifts, car park doors, windows, and bin stores.
- Manage the bin store and refuse process, including rotating bins and presenting bins for collection on bin days.
- Conduct deep cleaning/jet washing of communal grounds.
- Pick litter from external areas and grounds.
- Complete any ad hoc maintenance as agreed with the Building Services Manager or General Manager.
- Maintain stock, tools, and materials at acceptable levels and usable standards.
- Inform the company of any additional works needed at the location.
- Ensure all works are compliant with HSE standards and identify potential areas for future works.
- Complete all paperwork and procedures within set timelines.
- Attend all safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Great attention to detail.
- Proactive approach.
- Ability to work well alone or as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety.
- Previous experience in the cleaning or maintenance industry for luxury residential property or hotels (desirable).
