We are looking to recruit Full‑time and Part‑time Domestic Assistants to join our team at Salford Royal Hospital. Day, evening and weekend shifts are available.

Experience of working in a similar environment would be desirable, but is not essential as full training will be given.

Our priority is to provide the highest standard of cleanliness to the whole hospital site. Appropriate training will be undertaken to ensure you understand infection control and the importance of cleanliness in a hospital environment, and that these standards are met and maintained.

Ensuring the cleanliness of clinical and non‑clinical areas is maintained to the highest standards, working within the National Standards of Cleanliness to deliver the cleanest, safest environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Possession of NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning Buildings and Interiors is desirable and a willingness to work toward NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning Buildings and Interiors is encouraged.

• Level 1 functional skills in English and Maths
• Basic level of computer literacy
• NVQ Level 1 in cleaning or equivalent

• Understanding of the domestic assistant role within a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of infection control
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Previous domestic experience
• Experience in cleaning protocols
• Experience working in a health care setting
