School Cleaners – Hyde

Smile Education is recruiting reliable and hardworking School Cleaners in Hyde, Greater Manchester.

We are looking for dedicated and experienced cleaners to work within a school environment, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety for pupils, teachers and staff.

Previous experience working in a school or educational setting would be highly desirable.

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and communal areas.
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, washrooms and other facilities.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and maintaining floors.
• Dusting and wiping desks, tables, chairs and other surfaces.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Cleaning high-touch surfaces to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
• Replenishing soap, toilet rolls and other cleaning supplies.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
• Following school safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ensuring all areas are left clean, tidy and safe for pupils and staff.

• Previous professional cleaning experience.
• Experience working within a school or educational setting would be an advantage.
• A suitable Enhanced DBS certificate, with the appropriate children's workforce checks where required.
• Satisfactory references; school-based references are desirable.
• The legal right to work in the UK.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic school environment.
