Location:
Trafford, Manchester
Salary: £35,000 Basic | OTE: £41,000
Richard Abson Group are working with a well-established main dealership in Trafford, Manchester, to recruit an Assistant Service Manager to join a busy and high-performing aftersales department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional who enjoys leading a front-of-house team, supporting workshop performance, and driving customer satisfaction.
The Role
Working closely with the Aftersales Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the Service Department.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Aftersales Manager in driving aftersales growth by identifying opportunities using demographic and customer data.
* Supervising a team of 4 Service Advisors, managing workload and ensuring maximum efficiency.
* Assisting in the coordination of a workshop team of 14 Vehicle Technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Conducting performance reviews, reporting, and supporting department improvements through KPI and target-led objectives.
* Ensuring customers receive a professional, prompt and courteous service at all times.
* Managing and supporting the warranty process, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and on time.
* Producing detailed reports for the Aftersales Manager on both individual and department performance.
About You, to be considered, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience within the automotive industry as a Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager.
* Basic mechanical knowledge (minimum).
* A proactive and motivated approach, with strong customer service standards.
* A desire to influence and improve aftersales performance.
* Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
* Strong IT skills, with working knowledge of Kerridge preferred.
* Confident people management ability and a professional presentation.
Hours & Package
* Basic Salary: £35,000
* OTE: £41,000
* Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
* Saturdays: 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
