Overview

We’re looking for a leader to provide direction to our asset operations field team. You will ensure your team has the capabilities, training, and experience to deliver flood risk asset maintenance programmes across Greater Manchester. The team predominantly works outside in or near water and may use specialist equipment. You will maintain a close overview of health, safety, and wellbeing due to the high‑risk nature of the work.

You will also act as a Site Liaison Officer for key assets, managing day‑to‑day site/asset safety, security, and readiness to operate.

You will provide leadership for testing, training and exercising for asset operation and incident response, ensuring the team can respond professionally during flooding and environmental incidents. You will also participate in Incident Management duties and responses, which may attract additional payment; full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
