Head of Property Compliance – Aster Group UK
Apply now for the Head of Property Compliance role at Aster Group UK. This leadership position delivers strategic oversight for property and building safety compliance across a large social housing portfolio.
Base pay rangeSalary: £86,100 per annum
Location: Flexible – travel within operating region
Hours: 37 hours per week

Key responsibilities- Deliver the property compliance and building safety strategic priorities and plans
- Agree, monitor and hold the team accountable for performance targets that support strategic priorities
- Ensure an effective property compliance 2nd line assurance function is in place
- Lead the procurement of suitable external suppliers for third‑party compliance checks and manage contract performance
- Adopt a coaching style to develop team capability and foster cross‑functional relationships
- Analyse large data sets, conduct gap analysis, and write concise reports to inform senior leaders
- Degree level or equivalent in construction or building safety
- Significant experience managing compliance for a large social housing portfolio at senior manager or head of service level
- Coaching style that enhances team knowledge and capability
- Strong data analysis skills – able to spot trends and complete gap analysis
- Ability to collaborate with procurement, finance, ICT, governance and health & safety teams
- Hybrid role – mainly from home with occasional face‑to‑face meetings; full UK driving licence and vehicle access required
- Operating region covers Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London
