Billing Team Manager

OverviewThe Billing Team Manager is responsible for maintaining a robust and efficient billing process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all billing operations. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, boosts team performance, and supports the Finance Operations Billing Team in meeting its strategic goals. The ideal candidate will serve as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients, while cultivating a high‑performing, customer‑centric team culture.
OperationalResponsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire the Billing Team through regular performance reviews, team meetings, and ongoing development initiatives.
- Oversee billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, with prompt resolution of exceptions.
- Collaborate with the Head of Billing and third‑party partners to increase automation and efficiency in invoice processing.
- Partner with the MI Team to design and deliver insightful billing reports for internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and enhancing the end‑to‑end billing journey.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, resolving billing queries professionally and promptly.
- Work closely with the Product Team to escalation and resolve supplier‑related issues affecting billing.
- Develop effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to cross‑functional projects, offering billing expertise and operational leadership.

- Prior experience in a similar billing or finance operations leadership role is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams effectively.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Thrives in fast‑paced, dynamic environments, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across departments and with external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using billing or ERP systems.
