Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional who wants a rewarding role without the full-time hours? Are you looking for the flexibility to balance your career with life outside of work? Do you want autonomy, influence and a genuine voice in shaping H&S standards?
If so, this could be the perfect fit.
Our client is a rapidly expanding, £10m multi-disciplinary construction business with sites across the North West and Yorkshire. As they continue to grow, they’re confident that a highly capable H&S Manager can deliver impact on a part-time basis — and they’re committed to making the role work around you.
Why This Role Works for You
Whether you prefer three full days, school-friendly hours, or a flexible 30-hour pattern, this business is focused on outcomes, not clock-watching. You’ll be trusted to manage your own time, lead change and create a safer, smarter working environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Leading the development and delivery of the company’s Health & Safety strategy across all sites
· Acting as the day-to-day expert for all H&S matters
· Maintaining and improving HSEQ management systems
· Providing guidance, coaching and support to operational teams
· Driving continuous improvement across multiple locations
· Overseeing insurance claims and managing third-party relationships
· Developing policies, standards and training to embed best practice
· Ensuring compliance with ISO, COSHH, LOLER and other regulatory requirements
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
· Passionate about influencing people and encouraging positive safety behaviours
· Confident engaging teams at all levels
· Highly organised with great attention to detail
· Able to manage competing priorities across several sites
· Someone who enjoys autonomy and wants to shape HSEQ across a growing business
A NEBOSH qualification is desirable but not essential if you have strong practical experience.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
· Flexibility that works around your life
· A business that values your expertise and trusts your judgement
· The chance to build, shape and elevate the H&S function
· A growing company where your impact will truly be felt
If this sounds like the balance and purpose you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out for a confidential conversation or apply today.
