We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

The North UK Regional Sales Manageris responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of nine Territory Managers to deliver outstanding commercial performance across the independent pharmacy channel. The role ensures execution of Reckitt’s OTC healthcare strategy, driving distribution, visibility, and advocacy for key brands while strengthening long‑term partnerships with pharmacy stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of nine Territory Managers across the North region.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards aligned to the national OTC strategy.
  • Conduct regular field coaching days, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Build a high‑performance, insight‑led culture focused on execution excellence.

Commercial Delivery

  • Own regional sales targets, ensuring consistent achievement through effective planning and prioritisation.
  • Drive distribution, availability, visibility, and recommendation of Reckitt OTC brands.
  • Analyse regional performance data to identify opportunities, risks, and tactical interventions.
  • Oversee implementation of seasonal priorities and activation plans.

Territory & Customer Strategy

  • Ensure Territory Managers apply structured segmentation and prioritisation across independent pharmacies.
  • Support the team in developing tailored business plans for key accounts.
  • Identify regional insights and feed them into national planning cycles.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong external relationships with pharmacy owners, buying groups and key regional influencers.
  • Collaborate internally with key stakeholders across the wider Pharmacy Team and our sister Community Pharmacy Teamto align regional execution with brand and channel priorities.

Coaching & Capability Development

  • Strengthen field capability across selling skills, commercial acumen, product knowledge, and pharmacy engagement.
  • Provide consistent coaching on influencing skills, business planning, objection handling, and value creation.
  • Onboard new Territory Managers and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate closely within our OTC Ops team to support and drive out performance.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, CRM usage, and adherence to company processes.
  • Manage, review & approve team expenses and customer MLD investment effectively.
  • Uphold Reckitt compliance, ethics, and safety standards across field activity.
The experience we're looking for

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing field‑based sales teams in FMCG, OTC, or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK pharmacy landscape desirable, ideally within independent pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance through coaching and strategic territory management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in interpreting commercial data.
  • Highly organised, resilient, and able to lead through change.
