Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• As Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Business Lead you will become a key part of the Fire Suppression business unit.
• Play a key role in developing and scaling a new, high-growth channel for the Johnson Controls Fire Suppression brand.
• Lead with a customer-first mindset, combining strong leadership with commercial acumen while holding full commercial and operational responsibility for multiple projects.
• Take a strategic role in shaping the growth and future direction of the channel.
• Support the Sales team to deliver growth strategy and secure priority "must-win" contracts.
• Work closely with technical experts to ensure operational excellence and high-quality delivery.
• Build and lead a team of Project Managers as the business continues to expand.
• Support continuous development of direct reports through strong leadership and performance management.

• Based in the Manchester office with regular travel to sites across the UK.
• Partner with the Head of Projects and operational leaders to review and improve departmental objectives.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure high standards of delivery and management excellence.
• Lead the recruitment, management, and development of Project Managers.
• Plan, schedule, and manage work in hand to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze departmental performance to ensure productivity and performance targets are met.
• Implement project execution procedures and ensure timely communication and adherence to best practice.
• Identify, record, and upscale defects or specification deviations to the Head of Projects.

• Proven experience in a senior project management role within a technical or construction environment.
• Experience in the fire sprinkler industry.
• LPCB Basic Qualification and FHC as a minimum requirement.
• Experience delivering large, multi-trade projects with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, industry codes, and standards.
• Valid Driving License.
• Current SMSTS, CSCS, and other relevant industry certifications.
• Suitable for an experienced Project Manager ready to take the next step into a senior role.
