Excellent progression | Fully funded JIEB support | Pathway to Appointment Taker
An established and well-backed national restructuring and insolvency practice is looking to appoint an experienced Insolvency Manager in Manchester as part of an exciting period of strategic investment and regional expansion.
The firm has a clear mandate to continue developing its regional presence across the UK, with Manchester and the wider North West forming an important part of those plans. As a result, they are looking for an experienced insolvency professional who can become one of the key figures within the Manchester operation as it develops.
Alongside managing high-quality corporate insolvency work, the successful individual will have the opportunity to play a genuine role in the longer-term growth of the regional practice.
For someone with ambitions to progress beyond Manager level, the firm is also prepared to fully fund and support the JIEB qualification, with a clear longer-term objective of developing the successful individual into a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and appointment taker.
The Role
Working closely with the firm's senior leadership and existing Insolvency Practitioners, responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency appointments from instruction through to closure.
Taking ownership of case strategy, progression and delivery.
Managing complex corporate insolvency assignments.
Reviewing statutory reports, technical documentation and case work.
Managing, reviewing and developing junior members of the team.
Liaising directly with directors, creditors, lenders, solicitors and other professional advisers.
Overseeing investigations, antecedent transactions and potential asset recoveries.
Ensuring cases are progressed in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Building relationships with professional contacts and intermediaries across Manchester and the North West.
Supporting the continued development and growth of the regional operation.
The Successful Candidate
You will ideally have:
Strong experience within corporate insolvency and restructuring.
Experience at Manager level, or significant Assistant Manager experience with the ability to step up.
Practical experience managing corporate insolvency appointments.
Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency procedures.
Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
The confidence to manage cases with a high degree of autonomy.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
The ambition to take on greater responsibility as the Manchester operation develops.
CPI, JIEB progress or another relevant insolvency qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
