PMO Lead – Business Development & Growth

Our client is a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy delivering services nationally across real estate, regeneration and infrastructure. With continued growth in PMO capability and an increasing number of project wins, they are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded PMO Lead to take ownership of and grow this expanding service line.

As PMO Lead, you will develop and lead the company’s PMO capability, establish and oversee client PMOs, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and identify opportunities for account growth and new business. A key focus will be business development, including developing new opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, supporting bids and tenders, delivering client presentations and developing innovative PMO propositions aligned to market demand.

You will work closely with senior leadership and commercial teams to develop the PMO growth strategy, build a strong pipeline and convert relationships and opportunities into sustainable revenue. You will also help raise the company’s profile within the PMO and project controls market through client engagement, networking and industry activity.

Alongside the commercial focus, you will provide strategic leadership across PMO delivery, establishing robust governance, project controls, reporting, risk, change and performance management frameworks. You will ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across multiple client environments while developing standards, processes and best practice.

The role will also involve building and leading a high-performing PMO team, managing resources, mentoring professionals and developing the capability required to support continued growth.

We are looking for an experienced PMO Director, Head of PMO, Senior PMO Manager, PMO Lead, Programme Controls Lead or similar with a strong background in consultancy, construction, infrastructure or complex delivery environments. You will need proven experience establishing and leading PMOs, engaging senior stakeholders and developing teams, combined with strong commercial awareness and demonstrable experience in business development, bids, tenders and winning new work.

Experience across infrastructure, construction, real estate or regulated environments would be advantageous, as would an existing industry network and professional qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2, MSP, MoP or PPM.

Most importantly, we are looking for a commercially driven relationship builder who is entrepreneurial, confident at board level, commercially astute and motivated by developing people, winning work and building something that can grow.
