As our Mobility business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team and play a key role in helping our clients successfully deliver major infrastructure projects.
This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of programme and project delivery, partnering with clients and project teams to identify, assess and manage risk across large-scale aviation, rail, highways, ports and transportation programmes.
The opportunity:
As a Senior Risk Manager, you'll provide strategic risk leadership across major commissions, helping clients make informed decisions and successfully navigate uncertainty. You'll lead the development of risk management frameworks and assurance strategies, facilitate risk workshops, deliver quantitative risk analysis, and work closely with PMO, planning and project controls teams to drive programme performance.
You'll also support the development of our growing risk capability through mentoring, leadership and contributing to the recruitment and development of future talent.
You’ll be responsible for:
Directing risk management activities across major infrastructure programmes and projects.
Developing and implement effective risk management frameworks, governance and assurance strategies.
Facilitating risk and opportunity workshops with clients, consultants and delivery teams.
Delivering qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including schedule and cost risk assessments.
Supporting project teams in identifying mitigation strategies and maximising opportunities.
Producing insightful risk reporting and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Ensuring risk mitigation plans are actively managed, monitored and embedded within project delivery plans.
Building strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor on risk management matters.
Managing and mentoring risk professionals, supporting capability development across the business.
Working collaboratively with PMO, planning and project controls teams to integrate risk management into wider project delivery processes.
Contributing to business development activities, bids and winning work opportunities.
You’ll need to have:
Significant experience leading risk management on major infrastructure or construction projects.
Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies, governance and assurance frameworks.
Experience conducting and interpreting quantitative risk analysis.
Expertise with risk management tools such as active risk manager (ARM), Risk Hive, Primavera Risk Analysis or similar.
The ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders and clients.
Experience facilitating workshops and communicating complex risk issues to non-technical audiences.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing others.
A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
Experience across rail, highways, aviation, ports or other major infrastructure sectors.
Knowledge of Power BI, data analytics and reporting tools.
Experience working in both consultancy and client-side environments.
Professional membership with organisations such as the association for project management (APM) or institute of risk management (IRM).A relevant degree in engineering, project management, risk management or a related discipline.
