• Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of high-volume PLC controlled production equipment.
• Planning and performing equipment preventative maintenance.
• Improvement and modification of assembly/test equipment and transfer systems.
• Service and maintenance of electrical and mechanical site services/plant.
• Supporting the installation of new equipment.

• Ideally ONC/HNC with at least City & Guilds 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Electrical, with NVQ 2 & 3.
• Time Served Apprenticeship.
• Significant experience (2+ years) within high-volume manufacturing.
• Proven experience in repair, maintenance and process improvement.
• Experience in fitting, fabrication and machining would be an advantage.
• Ideally experienced in maintenance and fault finding PLC controlled and robotic high-volume equipment.
• Experience of maintaining and fault finding hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret equipment drawings/manuals and exercise initiative in work methods.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to self-supervise while collaborating with production teams.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proactive in identifying and suggesting improvements based on preventative maintenance and fault finding.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to diagnosing faults.
• Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and understand preventative maintenance schedules.
• Understanding of Health and Safety and safe engineering work practices.
