CNC Miller

We're hiring for CNC Miller to join a well-established engineering business based in Droylsden.

• £17 p/h
• Multiple shifts available
• Mon - Fri | 6am - 2:30pm / 2pm - 11pm / 6am - 6pm / 8am - 4:30pm
• Modern machine shop environment
• Overtime available
• Training and progression opportunities

• Setting and operating Haas CNC milling machines
• Working on vertical machining centres including VF3, VF3YT, EC400 and UMC
  500 (5 Axis)
• Making minor program edits using Haas control
• Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances (+/- 0.2 to +/- 0.05)
• Machining aluminium, tool steel and some plastics
• Producing batch work from small runs to higher volume production
• Carrying out self-inspection using verniers and calipers
• Supporting quality checks before CMM verification (Mitutoyo APEX)
• Rotating across machines within the milling section

• Experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Milling Setter Operator or Machinist
• Confidence setting and operating Haas machines (or similar CNC milling centres)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
