Experienced Upholstery Sewing Machinist

Talent Link Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Experienced Upholstery Sewing Machinist to join a friendly and supportive manufacturing business in the Manchester area.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong upholstery sewing experience who is looking for a permanent role, a supportive working environment, and flexibility around working hours.

The role would suit someone who is confident working with upholstery fabrics, cushions, piping, and similar soft furnishing products. You will be joining a busy production environment where quality, consistency, and good attention to detail are important.

The Role

You will be operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality upholstery and soft furnishing products. The work will involve sewing, trimming, finishing, and working with different fabrics and materials.

You must be confident using industrial walking foot/automatic sewing machines and able to work at a good pace while maintaining a high standard of finish.

Key Duties

Operating industrial walking foot/automatic sewing machines
Sewing upholstery fabrics and soft furnishing products
Sewing cushions, covers, piping, or similar items
Trimming and finishing products to a high standard
Working accurately and keeping quality consistent
Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Requirements

Relevant upholstery sewing experience is essential
Experience using industrial walking foot/automatic sewing machines is essential

Experience with cushions, covers, piping, soft furnishings, or furniture-related sewing
Able to work at a good pace while maintaining quality
Reliable, hardworking, and looking for a long-term role
