Production Operative

Location: Irlam, Manchester
Pay: 12.71- 13.50
Contract: Temporary (minimum 3 months, potential to extend)
Hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
• Friday: 08:30 - 16:30

We are currently recruiting for a Production Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Irlam. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a skilled production environment with the potential for long-term work.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be involved in the assembly and manufacture of specialist products, with a focus on precision and quality.

• Assembling products in line with engineering drawings and instructions
• Manufacturing electrical cable assemblies to specification
• Cutting, preparing and terminating cables
• Using hand tools, crimping equipment and wire strippers
• Carrying out soldering tasks (where required)
• Performing testing and quality checks on completed products
• Recording production and testing information accurately
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Supporting the wider production team to meet deadlines and schedules

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Understanding of health & safety practices in a workshop setting
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual and able to meet deadlines
• Strong team player with a positive attitude

Desirable (not essential):

• Experience with cable assembly or electrical manufacturing
• Previous soldering experience
