About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Mould Shop Manager, you will play a key role in supporting production through safe and efficient tool changes, machine setting, process optimisation, and basic maintenance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician with strong injection moulding experience who enjoys problem-solving and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out tool changes safely and efficiently to production schedules. Set and optimise injection moulding machines to achieve production targets. Troubleshoot process and machine issues, implementing effective solutions. Perform basic machine and tool maintenance, including insert changes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and waste reduction. Support production operations to maximise output and efficiency. Mix materials and prepare machinery for production runs.
Ensure accurate data capture and reporting of setting performance. Lead and support a small team of operators when required. Deliver training and guidance to team members as needed. Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping. Requirements Essential:
Experience working as an Injection Moulding Technician, Setter or similar role. Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes. Relevant setting qualifications. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively. Strong problem-solving skills. Good literacy and numeracy skills. Desirable:
Experience of machine conditioning, maintenance and process optimisation. Experience working with a wide range of materials. Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
