Job Title: Assembly Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembly Operator to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with company environmental, health, safety and sustainability policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues or faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Producing quality products in the required quantity, on time and at the lowest possible cost while adhering to quality, safety, health and environmental procedures.

Demonstrating a positive attitude to training and personal development.

Monitoring process performance to ensure maximum output is achieved.

Carrying out and documenting correct quality control checks for each job, completing all production paperwork.

Working as a team to achieve departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines.

What you’ll be doing
  • Assembling a range of hoses to a high‑quality standard
  • Checking components are correct to order before assembling
  • Working to written instructions and adhering to manufacturing tolerances
  • Using various types of machinery to complete the assembly build
  • Understanding and working in accordance with the company H&S directives
  • Identifying continuous improvements as part of the team objective
  • Operating within the boundaries of the company quality system to support accreditation requirements
Skills / Experience
  • Previous working experience in manufacturing environments
  • Methodical and thorough approach
  • High degree of accuracy in measurement and data recording using tape measures and verniers
  • Positive attitude towards managers and co‑workers
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Team player
  • Prior experience in mechanical engineering and an understanding of pressure and flow is an advantage
  • Technical ability
  • Respect for customer delivery expectations by maintaining an organised workflow and work environment
  • Ability to work in both metric and imperial measurement systems
