Mechanical Fitter​/Inspector

This role will suit a fabricator with plenty of experience looking for something different. Our client is based in Stretford, Manchester.

Duties:

Dimensional & Visual inspection of steel beams

Inspection of received goods for conformity prior to booking on system.

Rejection of none conforming supplied components.

Use manual inspection tools such as micrometers & height gauges.

Managing non-conformance & defects.

Candidates need to be able to read a engineering drawings and be competent in welding and fabrication.

Hours of Work:

07.30 - 4pm Monday to Friday. Paid 40 hours.

£18 per hour PAYE.

• Friday: 6:00am 11:00am

Option 2 7:00am Start

• Day shift (hours to be confirmed at interview)

Early finish on Fridays.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in mechanical assembly, fitting or engineering workshop environment

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Experience using hand tools, jigs and assembly equipment

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
