Nexperia UK is expanding our team of Night Shift Production Assistants, working 7pm–7am on a 4‑on, 4‑off shift pattern. This is a permanent role offering a clear career development pathway and a starting salary of £39,684 per annum (inclusive of night shift allowance).
Hiring Process- Initial telephone screening call – week commencing 29.06.26
- Assessment Day – including an introduction to Nexperia, practical exercises, and a short interview (held on 10.07.26)
- Occupational Health appointment for successful candidates held on 14.07.2026
- Start dates for successful candidates will begin from 27.07.2026 onwards
As a Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in the high‑volume manufacturing of semiconductor devices within our advanced wafer fabrication facility. Working in a cleanroom environment, you will follow written instructions to operate sophisticated equipment used to produce the silicon chips found in everyday products such as smartphones, home appliances, wearables, and electric vehicles.
- Complete daily tasks with the support of your Team Leader
- Learn to operate high‑tech manufacturing equipment and achieve required wafer output
- Follow production change procedures and adhere to all cleanroom and safety practices
- Complete documentation and enter transactions into the Factory Works system
Essential Requirements
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Methodical thinking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a proactive mindset
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Comfortable working 12‑hour night shifts and wearing cleanroom PPE
Beneficial Experience
- Previous experience in a production or factory environment
- Cleanroom experience
- Mechanical or technical experience with machines or tools
Remuneration & Reward
- Starting salary: £26,456 plus 50% night shift allowance (equivalent to £39,684 per annum)
