Recycling Operative Full-Time | Immediate Start | Competitive Pay

We are currently recruiting for Recycling Operatives to join our busy waste recycling facility. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals to become part of a growing team focused on environmental sustainability and waste recovery.

The Role

As a Recycling Operative, you will work on a recycling picking line, sorting and separating recyclable materials from mixed waste streams to maximise recovery rates and ensure compliance with site standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort recyclable materials from conveyor belts and picking lines.
  • Identify and separate different waste streams, including plastics, cardboard, paper, metals, and other recyclables.
  • Remove non-conforming or contaminated materials from the line.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the work area.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site rules.
  • Assist with general duties around the recycling facility as required.
  • Report any equipment faults, safety concerns, or operational issues to supervisors.
  • Work efficiently to achieve site productivity and recycling targets.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience within recycling, waste management, production, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to work in a physically demanding role and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to identify different recyclable materials.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Health & Safety conscious with a positive attitude towards safe working practices.
  • Flexible and willing to undertake additional duties when required.

Hours of Work

7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

  • Regular overtime available during the week.
  • Saturday overtime available.
  • Additional hours paid at applicable overtime rates.
