JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Production Operatives in Irlam, M44

To work as part of the production team to manufacture plastic products safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
, ensuring daily production targets are met.

• Operate manufacturing machinery (e.g. blow-moulding machines)
• Feed raw plastic materials into machines
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings if required
• Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment

• Assemble components (e.g. containers, cages, lids)
• Trim, finish, or process products after moulding
• Perform repetitive production-line tasks efficiently

• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet specifications
• Remove faulty items and report issues
• Carry out basic quality checks and testing

• Pack finished goods, label, and prepare for dispatch
• Move products within the warehouse or production area
• Load/unload goods where required

• Good attention to detail (quality checks)
• Ability to follow instructions and work procedures
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physically fit (manual handling / lifting required)
• Basic understanding of production processes

• Shift work (Rotating 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) Must be able to work all shifts
• Factory/warehouse environment
• Can involve:
  • Noise
  • Heat from machinery
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Heavy lifting

The starting rate is £12.95 increasing to £13.45 once permanent.
