The Role As a CNC Setter Operator , you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, producing high-quality components and maintaining the highest levels of quality and precision. You will also be trained in specialist centreless grinding techniques as part of your ongoing development.
Key responsibilities include:
Setting and operating CNC and manual machine tools. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Working to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards. Using micrometers and precision measuring equipment. Conducting first-off and in-process inspections. Producing precision-engineered aerospace components. Supporting continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives. Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. What We're Looking For We are looking for a CNC Setter Operator with a strong engineering background and a passion for precision manufacturing.
Essential Skills Experience as a CNC Setter Operator, CNC Machinist, CNC Turner or CNC Miller. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Experience working to tight tolerances. Confident use of micrometers and measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Desirable Skills Aerospace manufacturing experience. Grinding experience. Experience working with:
Aluminium Stainless Steel Inconel
