We are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Technicians for our Client based in Irlam, M44.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our production lines operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while helping us achieve our production targets.
What You'll Be Doing- Operating and monitoring filling line machinery to ensure efficient production.
- Carrying out line changeovers and supporting production schedules.
- Identifying and resolving minor machine faults, escalating issues to the Engineering team when required.
- Completing quality checks and maintaining accurate production records.
- Ensuring the correct raw materials are used throughout production.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety standards.
- Working closely with Shift Managers, Coordinators, and Engineering to maximise line performance.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitoring production performance and reporting any issues affecting key performance indicators.
- Training and supporting colleagues when required.
- Providing cover for the Line Coordinator when needed.
- Taking ownership of your own training and development, including completing an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Experience with in bottling, liquid filling, food, drink, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is advantageous.
- A good understanding of health, safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence working with production machinery.
- Good numerical and written communication skills.
- Basic IT skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning and development.
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Lean Manufacturing principles would be beneficial but is not essential.
Job overview:Based in Irlam, M44
4 on 4 off, 12 hr shifts
Days- 06:00-18:00 or Nights 18:00 - 06:00
Contract:
permanent for the right candidate
Salary: 32k-35k/annum
