Punch Press Operator - Greater Manchester
Package:- Salary: £37,500 P/A
- Hourly Rate: £14.25 per hour
- Shift Premium: 20% in addition to base rate
- Shifts:
4 on 4 off (7AM-7PM) - Two 45-minute breaks per shift

The successful candidate will set up, program, and operate CNC punch press machinery in line with daily production schedules. The role covers tooling adjustment, quality inspection, and routine maintenance checks across Trumpf and Salvagnini punching machines.
Machinery:Trumpf, Salvagnini, and AMADA punching machines.
Responsibilities:- Set up and operate CNC punch press machinery in line with production schedules.
- Program, load, and adjust tooling as required to meet manufacturing targets.
- Operate and monitor punching machines to achieve consistent output.
- Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation accurately.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and carry out routine maintenance checks.
- Accurately record production data and quality information.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with company health, safety, and quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement activities within the department.
- Previous experience operating CNC punch press machinery within a manufacturing or sheet metal environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with Trumpf, Salvagnini, or AMADA punching machines ideally, but experience on similar CNC punch press equipment will be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within a production environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
