Location: Trafford Park

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Vehicle Coachbuilder. This is a permanent Coachbuilder opportunity based in Trafford Park, Manchester, offering a chance to work within a reputable commercial vehicle manufacturing company.

Duties of a Coachbuilder:

Building, fitting, and finishing commercial vehicle bodies to high standards
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders
Installing insulated panels on refrigerated and freezer vehicles
Using hand tools, bench saws, and measurement equipment safely and effectively
Cutting and shaping metals, timber, and plastics with hand and workshop tools
Performing electrical termination work for lighting, switches, and tail lifts
Sealing joints, floors, and roofs with silicone and gel coatings
Working independently to meet production deadlines
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Following all health and safety, quality control, and manufacturing procedures
Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards

Requirements of a Coachbuilder:

Previous experience in vehicle bodybuilding, coach building, or similar manufacturing environments
Good understanding of vehicle body construction and assembly processes
Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings
Experience operating a range of hand and workshop tools
Strong practical and mechanical skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Demonstrable reliability, proactive attitude, and strong commitment to health and safety
Reliable transportation to access Trafford Park site
