Deburr Operator

We are looking for an experienced Deburr Operator to join a high-quality manufacturing environment, carrying out precision deburring and finishing work on metal components.
The successful candidate will have previous hands-on experience manually removing lugs and metal burrs from both soft and hard metals, working with material thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm up to 3mm.
Approximately 90% of the work involves thin-gauge aluminium, and all work is carried out to close tolerances and high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manually removing lugs and metal burrs from soft and hard metal components
- Working with material thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 3mm
- Using a fly press to de-lug metal components
- Using files and other hand tools to achieve the required finish
- Operating orbital sanders
- Working predominantly with thin-gauge aluminium
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Following written work instructions accurately
- Carrying out close-tolerance, high-quality work
- Working safely at all times and complying with established 5S standards
- Previous experience manually removing lugs and metal burrs
- Experience working with both soft and hard metals
- Experience working with thin-gauge aluminium
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Familiarity with fly presses, files, hand tools and orbital sanders
- Experience carrying out close-tolerance, high-quality work
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to safe working practices and 5S standards
Successful candidates will be required to complete a trade test as part of the second-stage interview process.
The trade test will demonstrate the candidate’s ability to carry out metal deburring to aerospace quality standards.
Salary£13.79 per hour
