Sewing Machinist - Salford
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machinist to join our well-established client in Salford on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent benefits and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a successful manufacturing environment.
This would suit applicants who have worked as a Sewing Operator, Industrial Sewing Machinist or Textile Operative.
Rates of Pay:- £13.00 per hour
- Monday to Thursday: 08:15 - 16:45
- Friday : 08:15 - 14:30

Your duties as a Sewing Machinist are:
- Setting up and running machines to ensure optimum efficiency
- Operating industrial sewing machines within a fast-paced production environment
- Carrying out twin needle sewing, top sewing, flat sewing, and over-locking
- Ensuring an adequate stock of materials is available to maintain productivity
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times
- Reporting defective machine parts promptly
- Following all company procedures and health and safety regulations
Skills:
To be successful as a Sewing Machinist, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist or in a similar role
- The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment
- A committed attitude towards continuous improvement activities such as 5S and lean production
- Good communication skills and a positive approach to work
- Full training will be provided on site
- Continued development and progression opportunities
