** About the Role
** As an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Specialist, you'll be an integral part of the Mill Operations team, helping us achieve our production, safety, quality, and sustainability goals.  This is a
** day-based role (Monday to Friday)
** offering the opportunity to work across a wide range of electrical systems, instrumentation, automation equipment, and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.  
** Reporting to the Maintenance Leader**, you'll provide technical expertise, support operational performance, and drive improvements that enhance reliability across the mill.  As part of the role, you will participate in a
** site call-out rota**, providing out-of-hours technical support when required to help maintain safe and reliable mill operations.  ###
** What You Will Do*
* * Provide hands-on electrical and instrumentation support and coaching to help resolve equipment and process issues.
* Support the safe and efficient operation of paper manufacturing and site utility systems.
* Diagnose, maintain, calibrate, and improve instrumentation, control systems, and process equipment.
* Participate in daily operational reviews to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
* Conduct root cause analysis and GAP assessments to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Lead and support medium and long-term improvement projects focused on efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence.
* Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to deliver sustainable solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Participate in the site call-out rota and provide technical support to minimise downtime and restore equipment safely and effectively.  ###
** Who Are You?*
* * A time-served Electrical Technician with a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
* Experience with in a manufacturing, FMCG, paper, tissue, or process industry environment.
* Strong electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
* Experience working with industrial instrumentation, process control systems, drives, and automation equipment.
* Ideally experienced with Siemens control systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.
* A confident communicator who can challenge constructively and influence others.
* A proactive self-starter who works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
* Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
* Passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
