Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist heavy engineering business for a skilled Assembly & Test Fitter to join their engineering team.

Role Overview

As an Assembly & Test Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out in-house assembly and testing in accordance with various customer specifications, company procedures and quality standards.

You will work as part of the engineering team, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely and within allocated timescales.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Assemble components in line with customer and company specifications and procedures
• Carry out pressure testing in line with specified requirements
• Maintain and promote Health & Safety procedures
• Complete work within scheduled allocated hours
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the company's 5S programme

Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• Crane and slinging experience – essential
• Forklift experience – required
• Pressure testing experience – desirable
• Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous
