Machine Operator
Location:
Oldham, Greater Manchester Rate: £14.00 £ 16.50 per hour Role overview
Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by operating production machinery, maintaining product quality and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities- Operate and monitor production machinery in line with training and work instructions.
- Feed materials into machinery and remove finished products.
- Carry out visual quality checks and report defects.
- Monitor output and flag machine faults or production issues.
- Follow health and safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organised production area.
- Complete basic production records and work effectively as part of the manufacturing team.
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing/production experience preferred.
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
- Reliable attendance and timekeeping.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to production targets.
- Comfortable with a hands-on manufacturing role.
- Flexibility to work the required shift pattern, once confirmed.
