Are you an experienced Marketing Manager with a background in architecture, property, construction or the wider built environment?
Looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of marketing, business development, bids and content?

We're working with an established architectural practice in Manchester City Centre that is looking for a Marketing Manager to join the team on a 14-month maternity cover contract, starting in November 2026.
This is a broad role offering plenty of autonomy across the marketing function, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing an existing Marketing Coordinator. Hybrid working also available.
The Role:You'll take ownership of day-to-day marketing and business development activity across the practice, helping to strengthen the brand, support new business opportunities and deliver engaging communications.
Responsibilities will include:- Planning and delivering marketing and business development activity
- Managing and mentoring the Marketing Coordinator
- Coordinating bids, tenders and proposals from start to finish
- Managing website, social media, email and wider content activity
- Producing brochures, presentations and marketing collateral
- Supporting PR, awards, events and industry activity
- Managing CRM activity and supporting client engagement
- Working closely with senior stakeholders on wider business development opportunities
We're looking for an experienced marketing professional who can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
You’ll ideally have:- Previous experience in a Marketing Manager or senior marketing position
- Experience with in architecture, property, construction, engineering or the wider built environment
- Strong B2B marketing and business development experience
- Experience with bids, tenders or proposals
- Strong content and copywriting skills
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities
