To deliver an event of this scale and significance, Cardiff Council is building a high performing team and is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, City Experience to shape and lead the city wide visitor journey for EURO 2028.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of the largest sporting events ever hosted in Wales and help create a lasting legacy for Cardiff and its communities.

To support the successful delivery of this globally significant event, Cardiff Council is seeking an experienced PR & Marketing Manager to develop and deliver integrated communications, public relations and marketing activity that raises awareness, drives engagement and maximises the opportunities presented by UEFA EURO 2028.

You will lead day to day media relations, campaign delivery, content creation, digital communications and stakeholder engagement. You will work across Cardiff Council, UEFA, UK & Ireland 2028 partners, tourism, business, cultural and community organisations to ensure communications are coordinated, compelling and impactful throughout the planning, tournament and legacy phases.

You will play a key role in telling Cardiff’s EURO 2028 story, promoting the city as a world class host, celebrating Welsh culture and identity, engaging residents and visitors, and showcasing the long‑term benefits of the tournament for Cardiff and its communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the communications and marketing story of one of the world’s largest sporting events and ensure Cardiff’s voice is heard locally, nationally and internationally.

We are looking for a creative, confident and experienced communications and marketing professional with a strong track record of delivering high profile campaigns and generating positive media coverage across multiple channels and audiences.

You will be an excellent storyteller and relationship builder, able to develop compelling content, manage media relationships and coordinate integrated campaigns across a complex network of partners and stakeholders.
