Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role offers an exciting and unique opportunity to shape a vital income stream from the ground up: identifying, cultivating, and stewarding high‑net‑worth individuals (HNWIs) motivated by global animal welfare. You will develop and deliver a major donor strategy to grow the pipeline of prospective HNWIs, build compelling cultivation and stewardship journeys—including bespoke proposals, events and communications—and manage a portfolio of warm and cold prospects to generate five‑ and six‑figure gifts over time.
Responsibilities
• Develop a major donor strategy and pipeline.
• Create and implement cultivation and stewardship journeys for HNWIs.
• Build and maintain relationships through bespoke proposals, events and communications.
• Manage a portfolio of warm and cold prospects, aiming for five‑ and six‑figure gifts.
• Support other philanthropic income streams—particularly corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations—to reach fundraising goals.
• Work collaboratively within a small, ambitious philanthropy team.
• Adapt to ambiguity and the dynamic, fast‑moving environment of a growing charity.
Qualifications
• Skilled communicator with a passion for building authentic partnerships.
• Experience in major donor fundraising and relationship building.
• Ability to translate complex global work into compelling donor propositions.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast‑moving environment.
